Update Game Blocks are a set of two similar placeholder blocks present in Bedrock Edition. These blocks are placed in the world when the game detects an invalid block ID. (This means it is the substitute to the black-magenta checker block that appears in the Java Edition.) They used to take the appearance of a dirt block with the text "update!" and "ate!upd" in green writing, which would form a readable word when placed next to each other. They were introduced in Alpha 0.1.3. Shovels are ineffec
