Rayquaza first appeared in Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire and Emerald the 16 September 2004, as the primordial legendary to defeat the continental power of Groudon and Kyogre. Since then, Rayquaza appeared in a bunch of spin-off games such as Rumble Rush, Mystery Dungeon, Pikachu's adventure and even in non-Pokémon game such as Super Smash Bros.
