The 2019 edition of Chengdu Mini World Cup is here! 24 men's teams plus 4 ladies teams will compete in a one day 5v5 football competition with the winner being crowned World Champions (of Chengdu)! Will Ghana retain their crown? Will Spain be crying into their Paella? Will England exit on penalties again? Is Harri Sheffer the best goalie Chengdu has ever seen? Answers to these questions and more will be available on June 8th. Come join the fun and support your nation! We’ve been running the Chengdu International Football League (CIFL) for 8 years now. For the first year the teams were based on countries or continents in some cases. We had an African team, French team, American team and so on. After a while we stopped doing that, as people wanted to play with their friends rather than being forced onto a team where they didn’t know anybody, however we always liked the idea of ‘playing for your country’, it’s a fun gimmick.
