Jul 28, 2013 - Description Hi everybody! These days are a perpetual rush, I don't have the time to take care of my Dragonball projects! Nevertheless, tonight, I took an hour and a half to create a variant cover for my MARVEL VS CAPCOM 2 game, on PS2. I love the Japanese coverart, but the french one is U-G-LY (Ryu, Hulk, Zangief and Spidey, and awful colors for the background!) I wanted to make a coverart that kinda looked like the japanese "Marvel vs Capcom" one, with all the characters looking each others : Capcom on the left and Marvel on the right. I used most of the original MvsC2 artworks (I don't owe these, uh !!!), changed their saturation to have a more "cartoon" look, separated them in their two sides, created a background and dynamic effects. I wanted to have a result that would look like the character select screen of the game, even if their places are not respected. But Spidey is still near Venom, Ryu near Ken, Gambit near Rogue, etc! Some characters are missing, I know, but I like the composition this way ^^ Adding Magneto or IronMan wouldn't fit, I think ! Once again, I just used and changed EXISTING illustrations, as I did for the DragonballZ Infinite World alternate coverart some month ago ^^ Photoshop CS3, 1h30mn.
